Our Mission:
The Houston Hockey Community is committed to growing the sport by providing inclusive and affordable hockey programs tailored for individuals with all abilities, underprivileged youth and Veterans.
The NHL Street Program
This initiative is dedicated to removing financial and social barriers, allowing children to engage in a team sport of hockey right in their local neighborhoods.
The Benefit:
Learning essential life skills such as teamwork, confidence, and self-esteem while creating a safe and enriching platform for participation. Each session is filled with fun and encouragement, helping children develop physical skills and coordination as individuals and as part of a team, while promoting inclusivity.
Veterans Program
This initiative offers adaptive and affordable hockey programs for all veterans including those with disabilities. We provide opportunities for veterans to join in our Adult Ice Hockey Programs. We will soon be offering a learn to skate and play program and will continue with an annual Veterans appreciation game each November.
The Benefit
The transformative power of hockey and other sports is a vital outlet providing a therapeutic, educational and social experience, we are passionate about sharing the joy of the game with veterans across the community.

We have partnered with 2 ice rinks The Galleria Ice and Bellerive Ice for our youth learn to skate and play Tim Horton Timbits hockey programs

Alliance and Partnership opportunities
Woodlands SlapShot, LLC is positioned to be a unique catalyst in bringing NHL hockey to Houston by developing a state-of-the-art practice arena and entertainment complex in The Woodlands, Texas. Backed by a team with deep roots in professional hockey, entrepreneurship, youth program development, and architecture, WSS seeks to build a facility that will house an AHL affiliate team, serve as the NHL franchise’s practice arena, and become a hub for regional hockey growth. The mixed-use complex will serve as an integral part of daily life in The Woodlands, fostering greater engagement between the hockey community, The Woodlands community, and the intersection of commerce and culture.

Our mission is to grow the game of ice hockey throughout Houston Greater area communities. We are dedicated to providing equal access to the sport, fostering inclusivity, and breaking down financial barriers by offering affordable programs and opportunities for individuals to develop their skills, engage in teamwork, and experience the joy of ice hockey. We seek to provide adaptive ice skating programs to individuals with disabilities and injuries to encourage rehabilitation and self-esteem, and to provide instructional programs and developmental opportunities for ice, Street and Roller hockey players of all creeds, skill levels and abilities.
